Singel Use Plastics-guideline
Buying plastic (containing) disposables has become more expensive on January 1, 2023. This has to do with the 'SUP storage' and the 'Waste management contribution Packaging', both part of the SUP guideline. These measures have been taken to reduce plastic in litter. The first measures have already started on 3 July 2021. For example, at the time there was a ban on plastic plates, straws and stirrers. In the Netherlands you now pay €2.30 extra per 1,000 snack trays (with plastic coating). In addition, the costs of any waste management contribution will also be added to this.
