Disposable sauce containers with lid for takeaway
With takeaway products you want everything to be properly closed, so that nothing is wasted along the way. That is why you will find various containers that can be closed with a matching lid. The lids fit perfectly so that no sauce is wasted and leaks are prevented. The sauce containers with lids are available in different sizes and made of different materials. We have paper sauce containers, but also (bio) plastic sauce containers and sugarcane sauce containers. Our range also includes sauce containers without lids, such as our paper souffle cups. The souffle sauce cups are ideal for consumption on the spot, for example when serving a grilled cheese sandwich! By serving the sauce in a separate paper container, this saves washing up, as the plate does not get so dirty. Our wooden boats are also ideal for serving the sauce separately. In addition, they can be used well for amuses or small snacks from the fryer. We have a number of containers made from sugarcane, but also from organic cardboard and corn starch (PLA).
Disposable sauce containers made of different materials
In our range you can find sauce containers made of different materials. For example, we sell Kraft cardboard sauce cups, sugarcane sauce cups, paper sauce cups and PLA sauce cups.
Cardboard sauce containers
Kraft cardboard is made from paper pulp and is often recognizable by its natural and brown appearance. The applied coating of bio plastic (PLA) makes the product food-safe and grease-free. In addition, this product is moisture resistant and taste and odor neutral. Kraft Cardboard is a natural material and has the great advantage that it is a renewable and recyclable material and thus prevents plastic waste. A large part of our kraft sauce containers has a FSC quality mark. Products that meet the FSC® guidelines are made from wood from responsibly managed forest areas. In this way, deforestation is prevented, which is important to reduce CO2 emissions and combat climate change. When felling trees, FSC® takes people and animals into account. The forest is divided into sections and trees are harvested in a different section each year, so that the forest can recover properly.
Sugarcane sauce containers
Sugarcane (pulp) is a natural waste product and is therefore also called bagasse, derived from the Spanish word for waste. Sugarcane products are made from the pulp that remains after the juice has been separated from the cane. Sugarcane sauce containers are plant-based and can biodegrade in 90 days under the right conditions. Plastic, on the other hand, takes no less than 400 years to break down! The rate of degradation of bagasse depends on composting conditions; the temperature, turnover rate, humidity, etc. Shredding bagasse before composting speeds up the process considerably.
PLA sauce containers
PLA is a biodegradable plastic that comes from crops such as corn and sugarcane. The glucose is extracted from the crop and then fermented. This produces lactic acid, which is then processed into polymer. Ultimately, (part of) our transparent sauce containers are made from this. The difference with 'traditional' plastic? It has to do with the raw material.
