On March 23, the Netherlands will again be dedicated to a cleaner future during the 22nd National Cleanup Day. During this day, both young and old will roll up their sleeves to clean up as much litter as possible. Litter is not only harmful to the environment, but it also wastes packaging that can be recycled.

Plastic-free, essential step toward a cleaner environment

The goal is to fully use 100% fossil-free and circular packaging by 2050. Reducing plastic use is therefore also an essential step towards a cleaner environment. What can you contribute to a sustainable world?

• Take part in the National Clean-up Day 2024.
  Go out on March 23 and participate in one of the many clean-up actions across the country or set up your own action.
• Pick up litter when you see it
  See trash lying around? If so, take a moment to clean it up. If we all take a moment for this small action, together we can make a big difference.
• Be conscious of your own consumption
  Choose sustainable alternatives whenever possible.
• Reduce your waste
  Try to produce less waste whenever possible. This can be done by using less disposable plastic, bringing your own shopping bags, and choosing plant-based packaging.
